Job Description:
We are recruiting professional interpreters for the Xhosa Interpreter Job in Bodiam. This freelance role is designed for linguists fluent in Xhosa and English, offering interpretation services in healthcare, legal, educational, and community sectors. As a Xhosa interpreter in Bodiam, you will facilitate communication, helping clients understand critical information and access services without language barriers.
Assignments include hospital consultations, court hearings, school meetings, and social service appointments. Each assignment provides interpreters with professional development opportunities and enables them to contribute meaningfully to the community. Flexibility and autonomy are key features, allowing interpreters to manage schedules and select assignments best suited to their expertise.

Requirements:
• Fluent in Xhosa and English
• Recognised interpreting qualifications such as DPSI, CI, NRPSI, or equivalent
• Enhanced DBS certificate
• Up-to-date CV and proof of identity
• Two professional references
• Prior experience in healthcare, legal, or educational interpreting preferred
Scope of Work:
• Interpret in healthcare, legal, educational, and community environments

• Provide services face-to-face, via video, or by telephone
