Job Description:
We are recruiting experienced interpreters for the Pashayi Interpreter Job in NewportonTay. This freelance opportunity is perfect for linguists fluent in Pashayi and English, offering services in healthcare, legal, educational, and community sectors. As a Pashayi interpreter in NewportonTay, you will help clients communicate effectively, understand essential information, and access services without barriers.
Assignments may include hospital consultations, legal proceedings, school or college meetings, and social service appointments. Each assignment provides professional development opportunities and allows interpreters to make a meaningful contribution to the community. Requirements:
• Fluent in Pashayi and English
• Recognised interpreting qualifications such as DPSI, CI, NRPSI, or equivalent
• Enhanced DBS certificate
• Up-to-date CV and proof of identity
• Two professional references
• Prior experience in healthcare, legal, or educational interpreting preferred
Scope of Work:
• Interpret across healthcare, legal, educational, and community environments
• Deliver accurate, impartial, and culturally sensitive interpretation
• Provide services face-to-face, via video, or over the phone
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Support clients and professionals in complex or sensitive situations
